Test Overview of Braggard's Test
Note: Bragard's Sign refers to a knee test; Braggard's Test refers to a low back test.
If the Lasègue Test elicits pain when the patient's leg is passively elevated,
then Bragard's Test is included as an extra maneuver.
In this test, the physician passively lowers the patient's leg about an inch from the position
in which pain was elicited, and while holding the patient's leg in that position,
the physician passively dorsiflexes the patient's foot.
The test is positive if pain is reported to be recreated in the sciatic trajectory.
