Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Dr. Jill Cottel has described a case of optic neuritis in a 32-year-old male, which she successfully treated using LDN. In this case, symptoms resolved over about 5 months, and MRI signs resolved within 2 years [Elsegood2016, pg xvi] Dr. Weyrich has been trained in the use of Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN). However, Dr. Weyrich has not treated any cases of optic neuritis with LDN.

Please see What is Low Dose Naltrexone? for more information.

Immune System Balancing

[McCulley2018, pg 61] reports that optic neuritis is an autoimmune disorder, and proposes an approach to treating this disease, which should be supervised by a properly trained medical professional. Dr. Weyrich has considerable interest in this topic, but has not treated any cases of optic neuritis with Immune System Balancing.
