Overview

Gilbert's Syndrome is a genetic variant in Phase II detoxification in the liver, which results in a reduced ability to carry out the biochemical process called glucuronidation. This affects approximately 10% of the population, and can be diagnosed by high or high normal bilirubin levels [Myhill2018, pg 89].
