Overview
According to ICD-10 Diagnosis Codes, Gender Identity Disorders are "characterized by a strong and persistent cross-gender identification (such as stating a desire to be the other sex or frequently passing as the other sex) coupled with persistent discomfort with his or her sex (manifested in adults, for example, as a preoccupation with altering primary and secondary sex characteristics through hormonal manipulation or surgery)."
Dr. Weyrich recognizes that these official ICD-10 diagnosis codes, which are sanctioned by the US Government, are politically controversial. Dr. Weyrich is not trained in the treatment of these disorders nor in the associated procedures of "gender reassignment" or "gender affirming." Dr. Weyrich considers gender-reassignment to be an allopathic procedure that violates the tenets of naturopathy ("the healing power of nature"), in which he is trained. Persons seeking "gender affirming care" are best advised to seek an allopathic practitioner, particularly one affiliated with the pro-eugenic/pro-population-control organization, Planned Parenthood.
It is interesting to note, however, that Quantitative EEG databases are normed separately for biological males (XY genotype) and biological females (XX genotype), presumably because the "mind maps" generated by QEEG do show gender-related differences. This being the case, it is theoretically possible to use neurofeedback to suppress or enhance cross-gender tendencies. Informed consent and active participation of the patient would be a mandatory component of any such attempt.
According to ICD-10 Diagnosis Codes, Paraphilias are "Sexual urges, fantasies, or behaviors generally involving themes of suffering, humiliation, sexual activity with non-consenting partners or children, or an orientation toward non-human objects for sexual arousal." Note that some of these activities [italicized above] are legally mandated as reportable [and prosecutable], especially if specific targets can be identified. Dr. Weyrich is not trained in the diagnosis or treatment of these disorders.
