According to [Younger2014 🕮 ], CRPS is a neuroinflammatory disease that LDN has been
shown to benefit.
[Toljan2018 🕮 ] summarizes cases of LDN being applied to intractable CRPS and achieving
complete remission in some cases.
[Brown2023 🕮 ] further reports a case series of 70
pain patients having various diagnoses which showed a positive response in 64% of the cases.
51% of the responders had a diagnosis of neuropathic pain or CRPS.
the Low Dose Naltrexone home page [LDN] suggests that this neuroinflammatory disease
may be associated with autoimmune processes.
The mechanism of action of LDN in treating CRPS appears to be via Toll-like receptor 4
antagonism and/or opioid growth factor antagonism [Toljan2018 🕮 ].
Dr. Weyrich has been trained to use Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN).
However, Dr. Weyrich has not treated any cases of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
with LDN.
